KUPLA | BUBBLE
_
A dull day. I'm sitting in the car stuck in traffic lights. Pedestrians are waiting for their turn to
cross the road. I crack open the window and blow out a soap bubble. It floats out and slowly
reaches a group of people. Heads turn, trying to figure out where the bubble came from. They
never find out, but this familiar and, in this context, surprising phenomenon makes them smile.
Bubble is a journey into the exhilarating forms and free movement of that simple element. A
bubble is easy to produce, but hard to control. It travels with the air current and gives joy to
those watching. But just as you're about to touch it, it disappears.
Photographed on 35 mm film. Scanned in to digital form. Print size 26 x 38 cm.z
